Hi friends,
It’s me, that Canadian personal finance writer who started the blog My Alternate Life and then fell off the face of the earth in 2019.
Well, I’m back. My Next Life is a continuation of the blog I put so much love into from 2011 to 2019, but it’s different, because I’m different. A lot has happened since 2019, and I’m finally ready to talk about it, and start writing again.
So join me at My Next Life, where I’ll once again be writing about my life, my finances, and what the heck happened in 2019.
What you’ll find here
My Next Life is a newsletter that will explore money, loss and recovery. I’ll be sharing personal updates, letters about money, and stories from the past four years.
What you won’t find here
At my day job, I’m a personal finance “expert.” I’ve appeared on radio shows, live television, in print and on podcasts sharing my wisdom and giving advice. I can tell you six ways to build your credit score, and how to know how much mortgage you can afford.
But that’s not what I’m going to be talking about here. My Next Life will feature personal stories about dealing with money, a deep dive into the emotional side of money management, and how it permeates literally every facet of our lives.

For those who have known and followed me for a while, this level is for you. It also gives me control over who sees that content. Paid subscription gives you access to:

Access to my “close friends” list on Instagram
